To register as a new soccer referee in SportLynx, you’ll need to follow these steps:
- Complete the Referee Registration for the organization you wish to referee for.
- Enter your USSF ID into your Referee Profile.
- If you are new to refereeing in SportLynx, set up your account to receive payments. This includes:
- Setting up a Stripe account associated with your SportLynx account.
- Providing SportLynx with your Tax Identification Number so that you can be issued 1099s.
After completing these steps, you’ll be ready to request and be assigned to games. Make sure to also check with the Referee Coordinator of your organization for any additional requirements or training you might need to start refereeing for them. Good luck with your new role as a referee!
How to sign up for games
Certainly! Here are the instructions for soccer referees to sign up for games using Sportlynx:
- Register as a Referee: Before you can sign up for games, you need to register as a referee with Sportlynx. This includes setting up your Stripe account and entering your license information.
- Log In: Once registered, log into your Sportlynx account and navigate to the dashboard  (help).
- Access My Referee Center: On the dashboard, click on “My Referee Center”. If you don’t see this option, ensure you’re registered as a referee with the organization you want to referee for.
- Find Games: In the Referee Center, click on “Find Games” on the left navigation menu. If you haven’t set up your Stripe account and provided the necessary information, you’ll be prompted to do so before proceeding.
- Sorting and Filtering Games: The games are presented in a table with sorting and filtering options. You can sort by clicking on the column headers and filter by selecting the filter icon in the column menu.
- Request a Game: To request a game, click on the “Request” button in the referee position column for the game you’re interested in. Your request will notify the referee coordinators, who will then approve or deny it.
- Approval Notification: If your request is approved, you’ll receive an email notification confirming that you are approved for the game.
